Holiday Series: Metal Snowflake - 1/8/2025 - Plympton, MA
This class is a metal art class located in Plympton, Massachusetts:
Wednesday evening, January 8th from 6 - 9 p.m.
Cost: $95, includes materials and PPE
I will be able to take 4 students, with a minimum of 3 necessary to run the class. I will be in contact to let you know if the class will be run or not 24 hours prior, an option will be given to move to another art class given later in the year or a refund will be given if you choose not to.
For class we will be reviewing various metal working fundamentals to create the metal snowflake. The snowflakes are approximately 12” around.
What You Will Learn:
-Safety for working with metal/welders/metalworking tools
-Hand Grinders/Belt Sander
-Porta Band Saw
-Vice
-MIG Welders
-How to prep metal
-Design and fabrication of art pieces
-Fit and finish of art pieces
This is a short class where the piece is pre-selected for you to create. It will not be as in-depth as some of the other classes offered are but will give you a small taste of creating a piece of metal art.
Important:
Please arrive at least 15 minutes early so we can start promptly at the designated time. The exact address will be sent to you via email, please be looking for it.
We will provide safety gear but if you have your own gear feel free to bring it to the class!
Wear work boots, a pair of jeans or canvas pants that you do not mind getting dirty, and a 100% cotton/natural fiber shirt (this is all for your safety and protection, if you are not dressed appropriately you will not be able to participate in the workshop). If you have medium to long hair, bring a hair tie to pull your hair back or already have your hair tied back.
